SUMMARY
During the last two decades of the 20th Century some essential political changes have taken place all over Asia as well as Europe. The unfolding of these political events did not only deeply impact on the East-Western frozen relationships as the Iron Curtain has been lifted, but also fundamentally affected the people’s social and cultural life within these countries. The Chinese Intellectuals living in exile more than half a century have developed their own ‘Cultural China’ all over the world. The following review is an attempt of a vertical demonstration about the life and struggle of Chinese writers in Europe, with focus on those living in Germany. Beginning with the Chinese Era of Enlightenment of the 20th Century, when the Little People, thereunder some brave women, forced by poverty and the desire for freedom and equality, began to denounce political dictatorship and patriarchal suppression within the family. Having archieved large improvements the concerns advanced to environmental protection, social equation and acceptance of minorities.
