两名华人涉嫌在加拿大赌场洗黑钱2700万(图)文章来源: 世界日报
列治文的河石赌场(River Rock Casino)以及新西敏市的星光赌场(Starlight Casino)，怀疑成为不法分子洗黑钱的场所，先后发现有多名赌客携带大笔现金入内，有问题的款项总共高达2700万元，但涉嫌多数未有按规定通告当局。

CBC电视台获得的赌场文件显示，这两个多以华裔为主要赌客的赌场，今年3月中至6月中旬出现大量来源不明的现金，多名赌客拉着装着满满20元钞票的行李箱或购物袋进入赌场，其中，一名赌客带着多数是20元钞票的现金80万元，另一赌客则带着110万元的现金进入赌场。有消息指，瘾君子购毒时通常使用面额 20元钞票。

文件显示在这三个月期间，星光赌场发现可疑的现金兑换达250万元，河石赌场则发现可疑交易高达2400万元，总共500宗可疑交易总数2700万元。据悉在2011年，这两间赌场也发现有可疑的现金兑换，但总额仅有800万元。

为遏阻洗钱活动，携带超过1万元的现金进入赌场兑换，赌场会知会联邦金融交易分析报告中心(FINTRAC)，金额庞大的可疑交易也会立即通报省府的博彩政策及执行署(Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch)，但今春500宗的可疑交易，多数并未通报警方来调查。

对此，卑诗新民主党财政评论员范和富(Mike Farnworth)抨击省府3年前，曾承诺对此现象作出改善，但如今乱象依旧存在;省财政厅发出声明表示，越来越多赌客从银行卡转帐兑换筹码，如此能够追查资金的来源，今年前6个月就有9800宗电子转帐交易，总额为1815万元。
