　　万达转型轻资产领域之后，在多个产业中，都形成了齐头并进的发展局面。目前，万达集团已经形成的万达商业、文化产业、金融产业、电子商务四大支柱型产业，再次成为轻资产领域的龙头企业。

　　万达广场项目规划有文化、旅游、商业、酒店、滨湖酒吧街五大内容，文化项目包括舞台秀、电影乐园、电影城、量贩以及电玩城，旅游项目包括世界规模最大的室内海洋馆、类似迪斯尼乐园的大型室外主题公园等。

　　位于合肥万达城早在2013年10月就已开工，预计2016年9月开业，开业后游客将体验“四个最”：华东最大文化旅游项目、世界最高的立环过山车、华东最大的星级酒店群、华东最大的停车场。

　　据王健林在近期的一次演讲中透露，在2016年计划开业的50个万达广场中，其中超过20个是轻资产项目，在2017年以后，万达将保持每年至少开业50个万达广场的速度，其中40个以上是轻资产。
